The Associate Director will play a significant part in our Consenting Advisory Service across a range of infrastructure projects working directly to and with our MD, Frances, both learning from her and contributing to the team’s success by being her right-hand, go-to person.
This is a new role and covers a wide portfolio, including client and internal/company projects. The role holder will also work closely with the wider team and external freelancers including planners, designers and engagement professionals.
As well as building relationships with clients and prospective clients, there will be enormous opportunity for sharing skills, innovation and experience within and between the Consents and Advocacy parts of the business, to support learning for the whole team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrate IM values and behaviours in all ways of working
- Demonstrate expertise in planning and consenting for major projects, such as DCOs or similar planning processes.
- Have competence and experience of working in some or all of the following sectors: solar, tidal, water, transmission lines and wider energy sectors, although we welcome relevant experience from all major infrastructure projects.
- Communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders, explaining complex issues simply.
- Have good people management skills and a track record of forming and maintaining working relationships in a multi-disciplinary environment Show strong project management and project planning capability from bid creation to launching the team required to deliver clients’ work.
- Be able to deliver commercial value to IM and to our clients with a profit-oriented focus.
